Chin augmentation is designed to enhance chin prominence and to achieve improved facial proportion.  Often, a nose perceived as too large for the face may be successfully managed with enhancement of the weak or recessive chin.  Chin surgery can be performed with bone or implants, and at Landon Plastic Surgery we use a variety of shaped and contoured implants to provide just the right balance. 



The procedure is performed under sedation or general anesthesia, often in conjunction with other facial procedures of the face and body.  External stabilization of the implant is required for 5-7 days, and the enhanced contour is readily appreciated immediately upon implantation.
